Andrea Schneider

Hi, and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Andrea Schneider, and I have been licensed as a California attorney for over 32 years. As an attorney, my goal is to provide quality counsel to good people dealing with the toughest situations of their lives. I focus my practice primarily on family law. I am also a trained mediator, which helps me approach family law cases with a unique perspective. From my office in La Mesa, I serve San Diego, El Cajon, Lemon Grove, and the surrounding communities.

I have also served as President of the Foothills Bar Association (now known as the East County San Diego Bar Association/ECSDBA) for 2 years (2020 & 2021) and now continue to be a board member.

I grew up in Illinois and had three goals when I was young: to be an attorney, to be a mom, and to live in California. I am extremely grateful to have achieved all of these goals.

I realize that any legal situation can be stressful and expensive. Its outcome can dramatically impact your life from every possible angle. Acting as your legal advocate, I will work to decrease the stress you are experiencing by offering affordable and effective legal counsel. Because I am a solo practitioner, you get the benefit of working directly with me on your case. I will be with you from start to finish, and I will treat you like you’re my only client. Your best interests will become my interests and I will always be accessible to you. I will work closely with you to answer the question: What is your biggest problem, and how can I help?

I am a proud mother of two children, and this experience has impacted my practice in a number of ways. My daughter, now 28, is also an attorney. My 20-year-old son is currently a college student. In family law matters in particular, I understand exactly how parents feel when they are navigating divorce proceedings or dealing with complex custody disputes. I help my clients focus on what’s best for their children while also addressing their needs.

In addition to my legal career, I spend time caring for my 91-year-old mother, which is both an honor and a privilege.

My goal as your attorney will be to find out exactly what you want, discuss your options, and confidently approach the matter to pursue a swift and positive outcome.

When I’m not working, I enjoy exercising, running, yoga, lifting weights, growing succulents, and spending time with my family and dogs. I love the San Diego lifestyle and being outdoors.
